Recap: Harrisonburg Bulldogs vs. Alexandria Country Day Tigers
The Harrisonburg Bulldogs's game back in December of 2023 was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Alexandria Country Day 58-43. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Harrisonburg considering their 13-point performance the contest before.
Harrisonburg was led to victory by Laine Dupuis and Ryan Fuqua. Dupuis dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Fuqua scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Dupuis scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Pentecost, who scored eight points along with two steals.
The win got Harrisonburg back to even at 9-9. As for Alexandria Country Day, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Harrisonburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Grace Christian is ranked 365th, while Harrisonburg is ranked 359th). As for Alexandria Country Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Monterey at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
