Soccer Game Preview: Newcastle vs. Douglas

Newcastle is 1-9 against Douglas since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dogies will host the Bearcats at 12:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Newcastle is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Worland, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Douglas faced Buffalo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bearcats lost 3-0 to the Bison. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Douglas it sure didn't stay that way.

Newcastle's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Douglas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
