Selah won the last time they faced Othello and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings walked away with an 8-4 win over the Huskies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.
Piper Staub spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Elliott Mclaughlin was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. Kymbree Brost also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Selah's record is now 12-3. As for Othello, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
