Volleyball Recap: Chatfield Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Chatfield had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars by a score of 3-1. The Gophers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Chatfield was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 24-26, 25-21, 25-16.

Trindy Barkeim paced Chatfield's offense, picking up 19 kills. Barkeim got some help from Harper Goldsmith and her 40 assists. Cora Bicknese controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Chatfield's record now sits at 23-7. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

As of now, neither Chatfield nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
