Basketball Recap: Arlington Memorial Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

There's no place like home for Arlington Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 36-30 win over the Sharon Academy Phoenix on Wednesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 33-14 back in January.

Arlington Memorial has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.4 points per game. As for Sharon Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington Memorial will welcome Twin Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Arlington Memorial's defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so Twin Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sharon Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Long Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Long Trail will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Sharon Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
