Softball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar lost against Heights back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Texans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Texans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Margot Royston made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Maureen Faustermann, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Heights will both be playing Bellaire the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Texans will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
