Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Palestine). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Waldron Mohawks 62-21. With the Dragons ahead 38-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Gabrielle Brown, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Beranek, who had eight points and three steals.
New Palestine was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The win got New Palestine back to even at 9-9. As for Waldron, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
