Softball Recap: Hoopeston Takes a Loss

Paris hit Hoopeston with a six-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cornjerkers lost 15-4 to the Tigers. The Cornjerkers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Addyson Kelnhofer was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBI. Macy Warner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Hoopeston's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Paris, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Looking ahead, Hoopeston will host Schlarman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Paris, they will head out on the road to take on St. Anthony at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
