Volleyball Recap: Covina Takes a Loss

Covina entered their contest against West Covina on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Covina Colts lost 3-0 to the West Covina Bulldogs. The Colts' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Covina was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-14.

Covina suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-11. As for West Covina, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covina will venture away from home to face off against Colony at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Covina, they will head out on the road to take on San Dimas at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Dimas will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Covina surely won't give up without a fight.
