Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin Road Christian). They came out on top against the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons by a score of 97-88 on Monday. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Falcons are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin Road Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Tidwell, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Tidwell also racked up seven steals, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anora Golden, who went 9 of 15 en route to 21 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals.

Franklin Road Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Franklin Road Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Franklin Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Franklin Road Christian has already played their next contest, a 57-38 victory against South Haven Christian on the 14th. Franklin Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
