Football Game Preview: Warren Hills Regional Blue Streaks vs. Hackettstown Tigers

Warren Hills Regional is 8-2 against Hackettstown since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Streaks will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Cohl Stevens and Carter Bujno.

On Saturday, Warren Hills Regional came up short against Chatham and fell 29-22. Despite 77 more yards than the Cougars, the Blue Streaks couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Meanwhile, after only eight points in their last contest, Hackettstown made sure to put some points up on the board against Lenape Valley on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Patriots 36-14. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Warren Hills Regional better focus on containing Matthew Tyburczy and Kolton Maney as the pair were huge in Hackettstown's win. Tyburczy rushed for 107 yards and two scores on only 12 carries, while Maney picked up 86 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Hackettstown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Warren Hills Regional's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hackettstown, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Warren Hills Regional against Hackettstown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 57-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Streaks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
