After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waupaca, Wrightstown was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Freedom Irish by a score of 8-5. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Rogan Thompson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Thompson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Theo Van Rossum, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Besel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Wrightstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Wrightstown's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Freedom, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Wrightstown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Irish: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
