Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Hills Knights vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars

Having just played yesterday, the Shadow Hills Knights will jump right back in to play the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Shadow Hills is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering King just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Wolves are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Rancho Cucamonga suffered their closest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Crean Lutheran by a score of 53-50. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Shadow Hills' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Rancho Cucamonga, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
