Softball Recap: Ferris Has No Trouble Against Central Valley

Ferris's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Central Valley Bears. The result was nothing new for the Saxons, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Tori Norling was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Hatchitt, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Ferris' victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Central Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferris will take on Lewis & Clark at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Central Valley, they will square off against Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.09 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
