Taylor typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Sheridan proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Taylor Titans 68-34. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Leading Sheridan to victory were Damon Winston and Devon Hamilton. Winston went 10 of 14 on his way to 23 points and three steals, while Hamilton posted 18 points and four blocks. Winston has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wright, who put up 11 points.
Sheridan was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only racked up five assists.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Hall, who went 7 for 12 en route to 17 points. Keaton Wiley also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first boards of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Sheridan and bumps their season record up to 12-3. As for Taylor, they moved to 13-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Sheridan has already played their next match (against Covenant Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Taylor will welcome Clinton Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
