Volleyball Recap: Cromwell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Coginchaug Regional on Thursday, Cromwell came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Morgan Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Cromwell actually scored more points across those five sets (101-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-16, 25-23, 17-25, 15-12.

Their offense was headlined by Ania Mockalis and Victoria Narwot, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Isabella Davis and her 17 assists. Finally, Narwot was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Cromwell's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Morgan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Cromwell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Old Lyme on the 6th. Morgan has also already played their next matchup (against Haddam-Killingworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
