Soccer Game Preview: Auburn vs. Auburn Riverside + Official Tickets

Auburn hasn't had much luck against Auburn Riverside recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will face off against the Ravens at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Auburn fell victim to Stadium and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Auburn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Stadium are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Auburn Riverside was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and Mt. Rainier finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

With that draw, Auburn Riverside's record moves to 5-3-3. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Auburn suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Auburn Riverside in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
