Volleyball Recap: Batavia Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Batavia had to take the L. They fell 2-0 to the Naperville North Huskies on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Batavia couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Naperville North a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 31-29.

Sydney Enger paced Batavia's offense, picking up five kills. Enger got some help from Mia Hernandez-Vega and her six assists. Delaney Wik controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Batavia's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Naperville North, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Batavia will take on DeKalb at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Naperville North, they will be playing at home against West Aurora at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
