Football Recap: Blackhawk Takes a Loss

Blackhawk's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a blow as they fell 38-21 to the Beaver Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Bobcats are ranked 106th).

Despite the loss, Blackhawk still got an impressive performance from Brayden McCarthy, who rushed for 229 yards and two scores while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. McCarthy's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Blackhawk's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Beaver, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Blackhawk will take on North Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaver, they will square off against Imani Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
