            Baseball Recap: Chiles Timberwolves vs. Maclay Marauders        
        
		
        
        
            Chiles won against North Florida Christian  last Tuesday with six  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Chiles Timberwolves walked away with  a   6-3  victory over the Maclay Marauders. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Marauders  last Saturday, they had to take a  2-0  defeat.
 Jake Gardner looked comfortable as he  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Myles-Mott Smith, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a  stolen base, which washis first of the season.  Jack Neely was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.

Chiles now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Maclay, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 4-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chiles will head out to  square off against Mosley  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Chiles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6  runs per game  this season, so Mosley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Maclay, they will face off against Wakulla at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
