Softball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester and Beresford pushed the score to 17-7 the last time they played Beresford, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Flyers took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Watchdogs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Flyers haven't been shut out since back in April.

Chester has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Beresford, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Chester has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Sioux Valley on the 23rd. As for Beresford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Flandreau on the 23rd.
