Lowry faced Fernley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Lowry walked away with a 6-3 win over Fernley. The victory was familiar territory for the Buckaroos, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Maite Bengochea was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalya Guizar, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Fallon Fowler, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Lowry pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Fernley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
