Baseball Recap: Marathon Gets the Win

Marathon won the last time they faced Prentice and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Raiders came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Raiders.

Ean Shuda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blake McCain, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Quillan Kunkle was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Marathon's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Prentice, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Marathon has already played their next contest (against Spencer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Prentice, they will challenge Tomahawk at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
