Baseball Recap: Glencoe Comes Up Short

Glencoe lost against Liberty on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crimson Tide took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Crimson Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glencoe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Culbertson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Glencoe's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Liberty, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.

Looking ahead, Glencoe will welcome McMinnville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Crimson Tide's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Liberty, they will venture away from home to square off against Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bowmen have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
