Battle Ground Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Franklin Road Academy on Thursday. Battle Ground Academy blew past Franklin Road Academy 13-2. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Leelee Fernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Fernandez was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that she scored this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Atkins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellery Baisden, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.

Battle Ground Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Franklin Road Academy, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As for Franklin Road Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin Road Academy Panthers duke it out with Providence Christian Academy LIONS at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
