Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Calie Greene and Milani Bonds Lead Western to Victory

There's no place like home for Western, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 22-0 margin over the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights on Friday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 12-6 win the Blue Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

A big part of Western's victory came down to the chemistry between Calie Greene and her top target Milani Bonds. Greene threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76% of her passes while Bonds gained 125 total yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Greene a new career-high in passer rating (117.9).

Western's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Western will challenge Moapa Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they will be playing at home against Boulder City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Boulder City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 34 points per game this season.
