Basketball Game Preview: Brighton Bengals vs. Shreveport HomeSchool Sports Force

Brighton is 0-3 against Shreveport HomeSchool Sports since January of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Bengals will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Force at 6:00 p.m. Brighton will be strutting in after a win while Shreveport HomeSchool Sports will be coming in after a loss.

Brighton is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Open Door Christian Academy. The Bengals came out on top against the Conquerors by a score of 47-36 on Tuesday. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Conquerors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Brighton can attribute much of their success to Reid Williams, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds, and Davis Wolfe, who posted 17 points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave Wolfe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Doyle, who scored two points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Shreveport HomeSchool Sports' game on Saturday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 54-28 to Little Rock HomeSchool. The contest marked the Force's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brighton took a serious blow against Shreveport HomeSchool Sports when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 75-12. Thankfully for the Bengals, Elijah Grimes (who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
