Softball Recap: Sioux Falls Christian Takes a Loss

Sioux Falls Christian lost against Vermillion back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tanagers.

Sioux Falls Christian got a good showing from Jada Roskup, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Roskup has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dehlia Doop-Blanchard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Nelson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Sioux Falls Christian dropped their record down to 6-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Vermillion, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sioux Falls Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Beresford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Vermillion will take on rival Tri-Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
