Mayfield barely beat Fonda-Fultonville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Valley Hawks a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Mayfield have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mayfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Mayfield will face off against Schoharie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schoharie will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Mayfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they will take on Galway at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
