Sidney had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They came out on top against the Unatego Spartans by a score of 46-34. This was a revenge game for the Team: when they faced off against the Spartans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 57-42 defeat.

Sidney pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points over those games. As for Unatego, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sidney will head out to square off against Oneonta at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Unatego, they will venture away from home to take on Delaware Academy on Wednesday.
