Basketball Recap: International Takes Down Orland in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but International had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Orland Trojans by a score of 58-46. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Trojans are ranked 679th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Orland still got an impressive performance from Dominick Bose, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards. Bose is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Preston Carlson, who posted nine points.

International pushed their record up to 21-12 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Orland, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-11.

International has already played their next game, a 50-48 win against Sonoma Valley on the 6th. Orland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
