Youngker comes up short despite Ares Chambers' dominant performance

Recap: Youngker Roughriders vs. Buckeye Hawks
The Youngker Roughriders lost against the Buckeye Hawks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Youngker fell to Buckeye 57-52. It was the first time this season that Youngker let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Youngker still got an impressive performance from Ares Chambers, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Chambers scored a full 42.3% of Youngker's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Williams, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Youngker's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-6. As for Buckeye, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Youngker will be playing at home against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buckeye, they will head out on the road to face off against Estrella Foothills at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
