Volleyball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Victorious

Mount de Sales Academy won the last time they faced Rutland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cavaliers came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Mount de Sales Academy never let Rutland on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-9.

Laura Sparks paced Mount de Sales Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Sparks got some help from Payton Latimer and her 16 assists. Chaney Madan controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Mount de Sales Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rutland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Mount de Sales Academy will take on Crawford County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rutland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Northside on the 12th.
