Baseball Recap: Hill Comes Up Short

Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Live Oak Acorns, falling 22-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Acorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 last Tuesday.

Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Meraz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Live Oak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Coming up, Hill will host Piedmont Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Live Oak, they will head out to face off against Willow Glen at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Acorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
