Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norton). They walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs on Thursday.

Quinn Murphy was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Norton's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ben Price, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Norton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

The win got Norton back to even at 5-5. As for Old Rochester Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Norton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dedham at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Old Rochester Regional, they will face off against Greater New Bedford RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
