Basketball Game Preview: Corsica/Stickney Jaguars vs. Wagner Red Raiders

Corsica/Stickney is 8-2 against Wagner since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Corsica/Stickney Jaguars will square off against the Wagner Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Corsica/Stickney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Wagner likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Corsica/Stickney came up short against Ethan and fell 66-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Rustlers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wagner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Burke 59-15 on Friday. The game marked the Red Raiders' most dominant win of the season.

Wagner pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Corsica/Stickney, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Corsica/Stickney was able to grind out a solid win over Wagner when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 63-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corsica/Stickney since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
