Soccer Recap: Clearfield Comes Up Short

Clearfield lost against Bellefonte back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bison fell 3-1 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, Clearfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 501st, while Bellefonte are ranked 82nd).

Clearfield's goal came courtesy of Gage McGovern, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Clearfield and nudges their season record down to 2-11. As for Bellefonte, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clearfield is set to face off against their familiar foe Penns Valley Area at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bellefonte will challenge rival Philipsburg-Osceola at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
