Baseball Recap: Port St. Lucie Comes Up Short

Port St. Lucie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Treasure Coast Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Carter Cohoon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Daymon Scherreiks also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Port St. Lucie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15-1. As for Treasure Coast, they moved to 9-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Port St. Lucie is taking a road trip to square off against St. Edward's at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Treasure Coast, they will face off against Henry Clay at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
