Basketball Recap: Ferriday Takes a Loss

Ferriday was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-25 loss at the hands of the Oak Grove Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Tigers are ranked 44th).

Ferriday's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Oak Grove, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Ferriday has already played their next match (against Beekman Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oak Grove will take on Mangham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Grove is on a four-game streak of home wins, Mangham a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
