Basketball Game Preview: Signal Mountain Eagles vs. Baylor Red Raiders + How To Watch

Signal Mountain is 0-5 against Baylor since December of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Signal Mountain is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Signal Mountain lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Chattanooga Central, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Eagles blew past the Pounders 61-35 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Pounders are ranked 307th).

Max Rackel and Dane McMillan were among the main playmakers for Signal Mountain as the former went 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points and the latter posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Zimmerman, who put up ten points and seven boards.

Signal Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Baylor came up short against Tellico Plains on Friday and fell 66-54. The Red Raiders were down 53-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Baylor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Signal Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
