Basketball Recap: Cox Mill Chargers vs. Robinson Bulldogs
If Cox Mill was feeling good fresh off their 83-63 takedown of Concord last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cox Mill Chargers fell 90-79 to the Robinson Bulldogs on Saturday. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.
Despite the defeat, Cox Mill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Teeshon Smith had 33 points. The match was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Igbibe, who had 15 points.
Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Cox Mill will host Northwest Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robinson, they will take on Mooresville at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
