Softball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

If Monticello was feeling good fresh off their 19-8 takedown of Pinnacle last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buckaroo lost 16-0 to the Grand County Red Devils on Tuesday. The Buckaroo haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Grand County, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-2 defeat against Monument Valley on the 23rd. As for Grand County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-5 win against Gunnison Valley on the 25th.
