Soccer Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

If Jasper was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Holt last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jasper Vikings fell just short of the Guntersville Wildcats by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Guntersville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2-1.

Coming up, Jasper will take on Oxford in a tournament on Saturday. As for Guntersville, they will welcome Buckhorn at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
