Basketball Game Preview: Clover Blue Eagles vs. Indian Land Warriors

The Clover Blue Eagles will face off against the Indian Land Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clover took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Varsity Opponent, sneaking past 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Eagles have posted since December 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Indian Land entered their tilt with Catawba Ridge on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Copperheads 52-36. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Copperheads are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indian Land found their leader in sophomore Sequel Patterson, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Patterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Jones, who posted 12 points.

Indian Land pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Clover, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
