Basketball Recap: Bangor Comes Up Short

Bangor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-34 loss at the hands of the Thornton Academy Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Trojans are ranked tenth).

Bangor's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Thornton Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Bangor will venture away from home to face off against Edward Little at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Edward Little will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bangor surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thornton Academy, they will square off against Gorham at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Thornton Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
