Baseball Game Preview: Beaufort Academy Eagles vs. Patrick Henry Academy Patriots

The Beaufort Academy Eagles will head out to face off against the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Beaufort Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Andrew Jackson Academy and fell 12-11. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nic Shuford and Keeler Dineen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Shuford scored two runs and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-4, while Dineen scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Tobias Patel was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patrick Henry Academy). They came out on top against Colleton Prep Academy by a score of 10-7 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the War Hawks: they've now won six in a row.

Rylin Brunson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Keegan Lee also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Beaufort Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Patrick Henry Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Beaufort Academy might still be hurting after the 18-3 defeat they got from Patrick Henry Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Can Beaufort Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
