Volleyball Recap: East River Victorious + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East River had no problem doing just that on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lyman Greyhounds 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since September 11th.

East River wouldn't go down easily and took Lyman into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 15-9.

Julia Adkins was nothing short of spectacular: she had 25 digs and four aces. Those 25 digs gave her a new career-high.

East River now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Lyman, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-15.

East River has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Oviedo on the 14th. Lyman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
