Recap: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Dooly County Bobcats
The Macon County Bulldogs waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 41-12 win over Dooly County on the road. Given Macon County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Dooly County is ranked 530th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Macon County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aniah Lake led the charge by scoring 11 points. Towanna Cochran was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Macon County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. As for Dooly County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Macon County will be playing in front of their home fans against Schley County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Schley County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Dooly County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilcox County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
