Basketball Recap: McLaurin Comes Up Short

McLaurin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Noxubee County Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against McLaurin this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-30 last Saturday.

McLaurin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Noxubee County, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13.

McLaurin will face off against Noxubee County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Noxubee County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-17 loss against West Point on the 1st.
