For the second straight game, Pender will face off against West Columbus. The Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pender is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Pender was able to grind out a solid victory over West Columbus, taking the game 6-1. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Alyna Rooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kenyatta Jacobs was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Kaylee Woodcock was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

West Columbus' defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Pender, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
